Marriage to Take Flight with Wedding Shoot at Singapore Airshow 2014

SINGAPORE, 11 February 2014 – A couple has opted to celebrate their shared passion for aviation by having their wedding photographs taken at Singapore Airshow 2014. Jacinth, 32 and Benedict, 34 are hoping that the event, the largest in Asia and one of the most important in the world, will be a fitting tribute to this important milestone in their lives.

While not many would consider a wedding shoot at an airshow, Jacinth and Benedict have been passionate about aviation since they were young. As a child, Jacinth harboured ambitions to be a flight stewardess, while Benedict would spend hours at the Changi Airport viewing gallery watching airplanes take off and land.

Their love story dates back to 2007 when they were colleagues at ST Aerospace, where Jacinth was a Software Engineer and Benedict was an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Things, however, did not take off from this introductory meeting as Benedict left for Australia to train as a pilot with Singapore Airlines. It was only one and a half years later, when Benedict returned to Singapore, that they got back in touch and started communicating regularly. The rest, as they say, is history.

Jacinth said: “I decided long ago that I would like to do a wedding photo shoot with aircraft in the background. We are so lucky that Singapore Airshow is taking place this year and we wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world! We decided to request for permission, and we are thankful to the organizers for this special allowance!”

As to what the couple was most looking forward to at Singapore Airshow 2014, Benedict replied, “We are eagerly awaiting the aerial display performance by the RSAF Black Knights. I still remember them drawing a heart in the sky with their smoke trails, something which I saw long ago. We hope they do it again this year. Fingers crossed.”

The Singapore Airshow will take place from 11 to 16 February 2014 at Changi Exhibition Centre.
